Cesc Fabregas has posted an 11-word verdict on Twitter after Tottenham Hotspur confirmed the appointment of Antonio Conte on Tuesday.
Conte has penned an 18-month deal at Tottenham, as announced earlier today, with a clause that could extend his stay until June 2024.
Fabregas produced some of his best form under Conte at Chelsea, during the two years between 2016 and 2018 Conte spent at Chelsea.
Clocking up 87 appearances for Chelsea in those two seasons, Fabregas scored 10 goals and created 24 more. Now, Conte has joined Tottenham.
An Arsenal product and supporter, Fabregas posted an 11-word message on Twitter after his old club’s bitter rivals brought in the Italian gaffer.
Fabregas on Tottenham and Conte: Proof that Italian is a top addition
For a man like Fabregas, who has played for two of Tottenham’s biggest rivals in Arsenal and Chelsea, to praise Spurs says everything.
Conte will finally get Spurs going. He will be brave enough to offload the players that are not willing to put the effort in, and re-install the hunger.
But how far can Conte take Spurs this season, with only the January window to add players? Well, top four is still within a shout.
Not only that, but Spurs are still strong contenders for the Europa Conference League title – and are in the last eight of the Carabao Cup.
