Everton striker Cenk Tosun has given an injury update to the press in Turkey whilst in lockdown.
The striker was loaned out to Crystal Palace in January, having fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
Carlo Ancelotti saw no place for the player in his Everton plans and agreed to the deal until the end of the season, with a reported (The Sun) £17 million permanent fee included in the deal.
However, his time at Palace was short and sweet.

Tosun made just five appearances for the club, scoring against Manchester City, before suffering a knee injury in training. The problem required surgery and the 28-year-old, as reported by the Daily Mail, was set for six months on the sidelines.
However, the player himself has suggested a far longer recovery period. As reported by Sporx, Tosun confirmed in an Instagram interview that his return is more likely to be seven or nine months away. If it is the latter, Tosun may not play again until 2021.
“We talk to physiotherapists and doctors online. They say between 7-9 months. Again, the risk of breaking is high. If I return within 7-9 months, the risk is minimized. So I will not be in a hurry. When I get back to my 100 percent power, I will start training with the team.”
Of course, the big question is whether Tosun will be given a chance to finally break into the Everton first-team on a regular basis when he does return.
Much will depend on who is in charge at the club but if Ancelotti is still around it would seem unlikely, considering the Italian’s readiness to send him away to Palace in January.
Tosun will now have to work hard to get back to full fitness before aiming to find himself a new club upon his return.
Clearly, the Sam Allardyce signing has a long road ahead of him.
