Everton striker Cenk Tosun has revealed that the club prevented him from leaving in January.
The Turkey international has ended up struggling for game time under Marco Silva this term following a bright start.
The Sam Allardyce signing is now behind Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the pecking order, and is finding opportunities hard to come by.

Speculation was rife leading up to January that Tosun might leave Goodison Park, but he ended up staying put.
Now, the striker has revealed that it was actually the club who denied him a move away.
Speaking to Sabah (quoted by Goal), he said: “I had offers from Spanish and English clubs [in January]. I told the club I am ready to go out on loan and return stronger, but they told me they needed me here.”
TBR’s view
Perhaps Everton missed a trick by stopping Tosun from going out on loan.
Realistically, the Toffees don’t have much to play for this season, meaning Silva can afford to give youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin a run of games.
It’s hard to see Tosun displacing him at the moment, and then of course there’s Richarlison for competition.

Tosun arrived having established a strong reputation in Turkish football, but he has struggled to show any kind of form in England.
A loan move would have been beneficial to the player. who surely needs a run of games to get his confidence back.
