Celtic transfer: Some Hoops fans react after hearing who they’re in talks to sign

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Scottish Sun claiming that the Hoops have opened talks to sign Mario Vuskovic in the transfer window.

Bhoys fans will be hoping that the club’s summer plans kick into gear in the coming weeks.

Ange Postecoglou is now getting to know his new surroundings. And it would appear that his first signing may not be too far away.

According to The Scottish Sun, they have begun discussions with Hajduk Split, with the Croatian side looking for around £5 million for the 19-year-old.

Interestingly, the report claims that Hajduk are ready to sell the teenager. Meanwhile, Torino are also in the running.

It certainly appears that Celtic need to strengthen their centre-back options this summer.

Shane Duffy’s loan spell has ended. Doubts remain over Kristoffer Ajer’s future at Parkhead. And Christopher Jullien is working his way back from a long-term injury.

And it seems that many of the supporters would be very happy if Vuskovic joined the Hoops in this window.

He is versatile defender, capable of also playing on the right or in holding midfield. And obviously, given his age, he should only get better over the coming years.
