A report this week has suggested that Celtic could target Aaron Mooy in the transfer window following the announcement that Ange Postecoglou has indeed arrived at Parkhead.
According to The World Game, there has been talk in Shanghai that the Hoops may make an approach for the 30-year-old.

It is claimed that Shanghai Port are unlikely to stand in Mooy’s way if he is offered the chance to leave. And that may be reflected in his reported asking price.
Mooy is no stranger to the Scottish Premiership. And of course, he knows Postecoglou from his time with the Australian national team.
So that would be an encouraging sign if Celtic do indeed make a move. But it would appear that he would also come highly recommended.

It is easy to forget that Mooy spent a year on Manchester City’s books. And while he did not make an appearance for the club, he did manage to impress Pep Guardiola.
The midfielder spent the year on loan at Huddersfield. And he proved to be pivotal as they sealed promotion.
During that season, the Terriers were drawn against City in the FA Cup. And ahead of the game, Guardiola insisted that the Cityzens planned to consider bringing Mooy into the fold ahead of his return.
“So, Aaron Mooy is playing amazing this season and we are glad at that,” he said, as reported by ESPN.
“It is not easy coming from Australia and going to the Championship and play as good as he is.
“We are going to consider what will happen at the end of the season but it’s good.”
Previous Guardiola praise should certainly tempt Celtic to consider Mooy transfer
Ultimately, Mooy would join Huddersfield permanently. But had they not sealed promotion, it seems more than likely that another Premier League club would have acted.
Some time has passed since then. But Mooy should still have plenty to offer.
And with Shanghai Port reportedly open to accepting a low fee, Celtic could surely do a lot worse than make a move amid the links.
