Billel Omrani – the striker who tormented Celtic in the Champions League – is hoping for more goals tomorrow night. CRF Cluj striker Omrani has declared himself fit for the rematch at Celtic Park, according to The Scottish Sun.

Omrani was the man who knocked Celtic out of the Champions League this season. The French striker scored twice and provided an assist at Parkhead as Cluj won 4-3 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate.

With 10 goals in 17 games this season, the 26-year-old is the clear danger man in Cluj’s team. He has also been linked with Celtic recently (as per GSP) in a deal worth roughly £3m. But he is only focused on the Europa League meeting with Celtic – and he wants more goals!

Ahead of the game, Omrani said (via The Scottish Sun): “I am fit and ready to play. I had some pain recently but I am fine now. I want to score in every game I play in so of course I want to score here again.”

TBR’s view

If Omrani is fit and firing tomorrow night, Celtic’s defence will need to be watertight to prevent another loss against Cluj. It will be a chance for the Bhoys to take revenge but this game means a lot to Omrani.

He has a chance to firmly place himself on Celtic’s wishlist ahead of the January transfer window. But whether he is at full tilt remains to be seen.
