Swedish legend Marcus Allback has told Rekatochklart – as per the Evening Times – that Celtic is the perfect club for Henrik Larsson’s son Jordan. Currently shining in Russian football with Spartak Moscow, interest is rife in Larsson. But Allback believes Celtic is the ideal club for Larsson.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2020-21 season. Coming into the campaign with Spartak, he had scored 10 and created four in his first season. Last season he improved his form, with 15 goals and five assists in 30 outings. This season, he is yet to score or register an assist in four games.
But he was part of Sweden’s Euro 2020 side, thanks to his form. Of course, his Father is a Celtic legend and that love of Celtic has been passed down – with Larsson recently saying a move to Parkhead is a dream. He told RT: “If I think about it to be able to play there would be a dream in that sense.”

Despite previous links with West Ham, Dortmund and Barcelona, Larsson’s former Sweden teammate Allback thinks Celtic is ideal for the Spartak ace: “If Jordan Larsson was to sign for Celtic, I know that would be a great signing for both the player and the club. He is a great player.
“Jordan is a great player and has a lot of good qualities that he could bring to the team. He’s not the tallest, but he is strong, his mentality of working hard and always making runs, taking on players and his effort to defend, is something that would suit playing for Celtic.”
Larsson ideal for Celtic amid Allback claim, Edouard cover?
Odsonne Edouard continues to be strongly linked with a move to the Premier League and Celtic need a contingency plan. At this point, the Hoops would surely want rid of the France Under-21 skipper. His contract expires next summer and Celtic would rather sell him for a fee.
They are in danger of letting him go for nothing with three weeks left in the window. Celtic need a replacement, they need to begin talks with potential players that can come in. Larsson would be a brilliant signing, a player rated at around half of Edouard’s price tag – at £8.5million (BuliNews).
TransferMarkt say Larsson is represented by the same agency as Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths.
