Celtic’s apparent interest in Robbie Brady is likely to amount to nothing, according to reports.
It was reported at the end of last month by TEAMtalk that Celtic were keeping tabs on the Irishman along with his club and country teammate Jeff Hendrick. Both players are out of contract at the end of the season and Celtic were hoping to make a swoop on the Premier League free agents.
The Irish Sun has now reported that Celtic are indeed keen on both Hendrick and Brady.
However, it appears any interest in Brady is likely to be unsuccessful.

The report claims that Brady is all set to sign a one-year extension to his current deal at Turf Moor.
Burnley have an option to extend his deal for a further 12 months and will do so as they hope he can still come good after injuries have so far prevented his impact at the club. The Clarets reportedly (Guardian) broke their transfer record when signing Brady for £13 million in 2017 and it appears they are not ready to give up on him paying off that price-tag just yet.
Celtic would have been making a solid move if they were to bring Brady to the club. The 46-cap Irishman would bring versatility to Neil Lennon’s side and would be a brilliant addition.
Unfortunately, it seems that Celtic will not be able to bring him in for nothing at the end of the current campaign.
