Celtic target Edson Alvarez would be an exciting addition at Parkhead
Celtic are reportedly monitoring defender Edson Alvarez from Mexican side Club America.
According to Record, the 21-year-old is attracting interest from Europe and it names Brendan Rodgers’ team as an interested party.
It is understood that there has been no official approach for him yet, but the January transfer window is just around the corner.
Celtic are potentially eyeing a gem that could be a star at Parkhead and manager Rodgers should try force the club into a move.

The youngster is a composed figure on the ball and may be familiar to European audiences from the World Cup.
He is already a full senior Mexico international with 19 caps and was involved in all four of the nation’s World Cup fixtures, which includes a win over Germany in the group stages.
Alvarez was an important part of an eye-catching Mexico team and his control of the ball was evident in the tournament.
Celtic could certainly do with a fresh body defensively and trying to pick up a highly-rated talent with vast potential makes perfect sense.
