Celtic have a fresh injury concern ahead of their first Champions League qualifier. The Bhoys travel to Bosnia next Tuesday to take on FK Sarajevo but they could be without Vakoun Issouf Bayo.
Neil Lennon has confirmed that Bayo sat out of the final pre-season friendly against St Gallen due to a hamstring injury. Bayo will be sent for tests and could miss the upcoming fixture on Tuesday evening.
As reported by The Daily Record, Lennon said: “Bayo felt his hamstring in training the other day. There was a little bit of tightness there, so he will have a scan on Thursday in Glasgow.”

The 22-year-old joined for £2m back in January but is yet to get going at Parkhead. After moving from Slovakia, the Ivory Coast youth international only played one minute of competitive action for Celtic last season.
But after scoring in pre-season, he has caught Lennon’s eye. Bayo would have been hoping for his chance in the Champions League but he might have to rest his hamstring instead.
Bayo injury could open door to Griffiths
Bayo’s injury leaves Lennon with limited options up front. Odsonne Edouard will almost certainly lead the line but Celtic need a back-up striker.
This could open the door for Leigh Griffiths to accelerate his return from an enforced break for personal reasons. The Scotsman has been on fire in pre-season and now deserves his chance on the bench on Tuesday – if Bayo is out injured.
