Kristoffer Ajer has suggested, in comments reported by the Evening Times, that he is determined to make amends for the recent mistakes that he has made for Celtic.
Ajer went into this season off the back of a brilliant campaign with the Hoops. However, his form at the start of this term has been a little more concerning.

He made a rash challenge to give away a penalty in Celtic’s Europa League group-stage opener with Rennes last month. And he also came in for criticism at the weekend after scoring an own goal in the 1-1 draw with Hibernian at Easter Road.
But the Norway international has insisted that he is doing all he can to make sure that he does not make similar mistakes again in the future. And he conceded that there have been some moments where he has not been good enough.

“There’s always something you can pick up. As a human being, you will make mistakes but the important thing is that you learn from them and, hopefully, you won’t repeat them,” he said, as reported by the Evening Times.
“I have looked through the penalty in Rennes several times and learned from that. That will hopefully not happen again. I have looked through the own goal against Hibs a few times as well.
“The penalty against Rennes? I absolutely could have and should have done better. It’s a learning experience. I look through all the clips with Kendo [John Kennedy] and we try to learn from it. The most important thing is it doesn’t happen regularly and hopefully it won’t.”
TBR’s View
It is remarkable to think that Ajer is still just 21. He is closing in on bringing up his century of appearances for the Bhoys. But he is still learning and developing.
It is also easy to forget that Ajer was considered a midfield prospect when he arrived at Parkhead. That should not stop all of the criticism that should come his way when he does make silly errors. But perhaps, it should allow Ajer to have a little more breathing space.
He clearly has the talent to put the recent mistakes behind him. And it appears that Ajer is particularly determined to step up and rediscover his best form.
