Celtic are set to receive offers for French midfielder Olivier Ntcham this month. According to reports, Porto are keen on signing the player.
As reported by the Scottish Sun, the Portuguese side are willing to spend £14 million for the privilege, with centre-back Chancel Mbemba also heading the other way as part of the deal.
O Jogo has now suggested that Ntcham wants the deal to go ahead and is ready to push through an exit. This comes despite only signing a new deal in November.
But if Porto are really willing to spend £14 million on the player, and send Celtic a potential centre-back solution for the eventual exits of Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic, then the Bhoys should snap their hands off.
Ntcham is a very good player and Celtic fans have seen the best of him. However, this season he has struggled to find anything like his best form.
That sort of money should not be ignored by Celtic, who could use £14 million to strengthen at right-back and bring in a replacement, with Everton’s James McCarthy heavily linked.
Celtic should squeeze every penny they can out the Portuguese side and let Ntcham go.
