Toljan was coveted
The Daily Record have reported that defender Jeremy Toljan snubbed interest from Italian champions Juventus in order to sign for Celtic.
The German completed his move to Parkhead on transfer deadline day until the of the season.
Speaking about his move, he said: “There were other clubs interested but when I spoke with Celtic, I knew it would be the right move for me. I liked the plan they had for me.”

Apparently Napoli were also interested in Toljan, but it’s the Bhoys who have won the race for the coveted 24-year-old.
Rogic injury
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Tom Rogic will undergo knee surgery that could put him out of action for up to six weeks.
The Australian international landed awkwardly whilst on Asian Cup duty and will now be absent for a crucial period of Celtic’s season.

Rodgers said: “He is a good character. It is disappointing for us.
“We have missed him for the period of time he has been out, the last month or so, to have him out for another six weeks is a blow.”
Frustratingly Rogic will miss both games against Valencia in the Europa League round of 32.
Brown defiant
Captain Scott Brown has spoken defiantly after signing a two-year contract extension on transfer deadline day.
The veteran had been linked wth a move to A-League side Western Melbourne throughout the January window, but will stay put to help the Bhoys try and land an eighth straight title.
Taking a pop at some of his past critics, he said as quoted by The Daily Mail: “I am 33 just now and 34 in the summer and I feel as good as I have done for a long time.

People have doubted me all the way through. People said I would never play football in the first place, I was too small and not aggressive enough.”
Brown will be 35 and have spent 14 years at the club when his new deal expires.
