According to fussballtransfers.com, Borussia Dortmund full-back Jeremy Toljan is merely ‘hours away’ from signing for Celtic.
The German youth international is to sign for the Bhoys on loan until the end of the season.
Toljan was told he could move this window after falling down the pecking order at the Bundesliga outfit. In his first season he made 27 appearances following his £6 million move from Hoffenheim.
Bhoys deny Dagba approach
French reports had suggested that Celtic were in for Paris Saint-Germain youngster Colin Dagba.
But according to The Scotsman, the Bhoys will not be signing the Frenchman this window, as he was never a target for Brendan Rodgers and the powers that be at Parkhead.
The right-back made his first-team debut for PSG last August against AS Monaco in the Trophee des Champions.
Celtic have had a fresh bid for Timothy Castagne rejected according to Italian media as reported by The Scottish Sun.
The Hoops had sounded out the Belgian earlier in the window as a potential replacement for Mikael Lustig.
His club Atalanta have placed a £10 million valuation on the player which Celtic have balked at.
Castagne had previously declared that his preference was to play in England or Germany, suggesting Celtic are better off getting Toljan in.
