Brown’s new deal
Celtic captain Scott Brown has signed a new two-deal with the club (official website).
The Scot has ended speculation that he would be moving to A-League outfit Western Melbourne by committing his future to the Parkhead club for the next two years.
Some fans feared that Brown would play out his final season for the Bhoys and then embark on a new adventure Down Under.
Club legend Brown has made 506 appearances for Celtic and won 17 major trophies.
Winger Lewis Morgan has left the club to join Sunderland on loan until the end of the season (official website).
He will now fight for regular game time at the Stadium of Light and will work with the man who oversaw his development at St. Mirren Jack Ross.
Morgan has made 13 appearances for the club since joining in January 2018.
Toljan and Shved updates
Full-back Jeremy Toljan trained in Germany this morning but there is still hope that he will complete a loan move to Parkhead before the 11pm deadline.
Borussia Dortmund have said that ‘anything is possible’ as reported by The Scottish Sun.
The German is out of favour under Lucien Favre and Brendan Rodgers believes he can prove to be a long-term replacement for Mikael Lustig, who will be out of contract this summer.
Ukrainian winger Maryan Shved will return to Karpaty Lviv after passing a medical with Celtic and watching the club in action against St Johnstone, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
He will supposedly see out the season in his homeland and join up with the Bhoys in April.
