Boyata to leave

Dedryck Boyata is to leave Celtic at the end of the season according to the player’s agent.

The Belgian international won’t be signing a new deal at Parkhead, and he is now free to negotiate with other clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement.

Jacques Lichtenstein told Het Laatste Nieuws: “A new contract? Not an option. We are not even talking. We have plenty of choice. We are looking at every proposition.”

Boyata has been with the Bhoys since the summer of 2015.

Brown offer

Captain Scott Brown has received an offer from new A-League side Western Melbourne.

The veteran has been viewed for some time as a potential marquee signing for the Australian outfit.

The Scottish Sun report that Brown has a ‘lucrative’ three-year deal on the table, and will soon have to make a decision on whether to bring to an end his 11-year stint at Parkhead.

Nicholas suggests Origi

Sky Sports pundit and former Bhoy Charlie Nicholas has suggested Liverpool striker Divock Origi has a potential January signing for Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers only has Odsonne Edouard at his disposal at the moment with Leigh Griffiths still on an indefinite break from the game.

Reds striker Origi is behind Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge in the Anfield pecking order and could be on the move in January.

Nicholas also suggested going in for fellow Premier League strikers Jermain Defoe or Christian Benteke, although the Bournemouth striker has just been reported to be joining rivals Rangers on an 18-month loan deal.
