This season they fielded the youngest starting line-up in the history of the Danish Superliga at 20-years-old and 20 days.

A potential move from Celtic Park

Dembele was widely regarded as the next top talent to emerge through Celtic’s famed academy. Yet the London-born winger is yet to fully establish himself in the Hoops first-team.

The England youth international made just five first-team appearances this season, only playing 45 minutes.

With his current deal expiring in 2022, it is increasingly likely that Dembele will move on from Celtic Park this summer.

The Scottish giants are also likely to welcome Ange Postecoglou as their new manager later this month, which could further push the teenager out the exit door.

Nordsjaelland would be perfect for Dembele

Whilst some outlets are labelling Nordsjaelland as a ‘shock’ destination for Dembele, the Danish outlet could be the perfect club for the England youth international.

The Superliga side have established itself as one of the top clubs in Europe for developing young players. And given Dembele’s reputation and experience in the Scottish Premiership, the teenager could find himself playing regularly in Denmark.

With Nordsjaelland also running an operation to sell players on for profit, Dembele would likely only spend a few years with the club before moving on for a more prestigious division.

Nordsjaelland might not be as glamourous or as historic as Celtic, but for Dembele, it would be the perfect club to develop his craft and to unlock the potential so many pundits and supporters believe the 18-year-old has in football.
