Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League

Celtic player and Mikael Lustig rave about Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney on Instagram

Kieran Tierney produced another excellent display at left-back as Arsenal earned a North London derby win over Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates Stadium, despite initially going behind – and he has received Celtic praise on Instagram.

Tierney, 23, clocked up his 30th appearance of the season as Arsenal looked to get one over Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham – having lost to Spurs earlier in the season on the other side of North London. The Gunners went 1-0 down.

Erik Lamela scored one of the contenders goal of the season with a beautiful rabona from 12 yards out. Spurs fans were hardly surprised, having seen the Argentina international do it in the Europa League against Asteras in the past.

Arsenal came from behind to win and Tierney was key to that, getting past Matt Doherty and supplying an inch-perfect cross for Martin Odegaard to equalise – the Real Madrid loanee’s shot deflecting off Toby Alderweireld and into the net.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

It was 2-1 when Alexandre Lacazette won a penalty after a foul by Davinson Sanchez and following a VAR check, got up to score himself – sending ex-Lyon teammate Hugo Lloris the wrong way. A 2-1 win for Arsenal, which has dented Spurs top-four hopes.

Tierney was applauded once again for his display, earning praise from Scott Brown on his story – labelling his skill in the assist for Odegaard as “special”. Lustig also responded, commenting on his post: “Class ma man”.
