A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on news from The Scottish Sun concerning the club’s decision to take up the option in Anthony Ralston‘s contract.
It is almost four years since Ralston enjoyed arguably his most famous moment in a Celtic shirt to date as he came up against Neymar in the Champions League.

Since then, the 22-year-old has only made 12 first-team appearances for the Hoops.
He has spent some time out on loan. But last season, he only played once for the Bhoys despite being included on the bench on a fairly consistent basis.
Nevertheless, it appears that he could get the chance to add to his tally of appearances. According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic have taken up the option to extend his deal by a year.

For some, the decision makes a little sense. Ange Postecoglou currently has no other right-back in the first-team squad.
However, the majority seem baffled or disappointed by the reports. Ralston turns 23 later this year.
And some have insisted that if he was going to make the grade at Parkhead, he would be playing more much regularly by now.
