There is no doubting the fact that Mikael Lustig has been a loyal servant to Celtic over the years.
But it is time to say goodbye to him when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Lustig will be hoping to earn himself a new deal at Celtic and extend his lengthy stay in Glasgow.
The 31-year-old has played well over 200 games for the Bhoys in an illustrious career spanning six years.
But he is simply not the player he once was. His decline started last season and his form has continued to nosedive this term.

You cannot question his loyalty, passion or commitment but fresh legs are needed in the right-back department.
Lustig’s current deal runs out in summer 2019, according to transfermarkt, and he will be released as a free agent unless he can agree new terms with the club.
But Celtic should not be tempted to renew his deal.
It is time for a new era in the right-back position and there are plenty of promising players that Celtic could target to fill the void.
Rather than keeping Lustig on for another season or two, it is time for Celtic to look to the future.
They should sign a replacement instead of giving Lustig a contract extension.
