Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has blasted the Hoops for becoming a one trick pony in the aftermath of Moussa Dembele departing for Lyon.
The former fan favourite offered the assessment on BT Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star.
Neil Lennon’s men defeated Kilmarnock 1-0 on Saturday to edge ever closer to securing their eighth consecutive league title.
The club could also complete the triple treble if they defeat Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final. Sutton, however, is not overly impressed with his former club.

He told BT Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star: “They’re a one trick pony and we have to say that.
“The Dembele situation was the biggest one. Brendan said he wouldn’t sell him unless he got a replacement. Celtic can now only play one way. When was the last time a Celtic centre-forward scored a header? I can’t remember. They have work to do in the summer and they need to pull their finger out.”
TBR Verdict
It sounds once again like Sutton is sticking the boot into the recently departed Brendan Rodgers.
The former Hoops boss was the one who allowed Dembele to leave without a replacement to be signed and Sutton clearly feels it has hampered Celtic’s style of play.
In fairness, it hasn’t had much of an impact on the club’s season. Celtic are still on the cusp of the triple treble this time around.

With Rangers getting closer, however, there is a sense that the Hoops will need to make a couple of statements of intent in the transfer market this summer.
A proper replacement for Dembele would be a fantastic start.
