Reported Celtic transfer target Luca Connell has added fuel to the fire by describing the idea of playing for the club as ‘an honour’.
The Bolton Wanderers starlet has been linked with a move to the Scottish champions for a number of weeks now, and in that time has kept his cards close to his chest.
The midfielder has finally addressed the links, and Celtic fans are sure to be excited.

He said (quoted by The Daily Record): “Everyone knows Celtic are a massive club.
“It’d be an honour to represent them if that’s what the final decision is. I’m keeping my options open and hopefully I can take the right one in the next few weeks.
“I just want to make sure I’m playing, wherever I go.”
The 18-year-old’s current deal with Bolton is about to expire and the youngster will be available to teams for a cut-price £250,000 development fee.
TBR’s view
Connell’s comments are certainly encouraging.
This is the first real sign that the talented playmaker would be willing to join the Champions League club.

Connell has an extremely high ceiling and a move for the Republic of Ireland youth international would be a statement of intent given the interest in him from other clubs.
With the U19 European Championships coming up next month, the Hoops may want to move fast as the tournament would likely impact negotiations.
