Celtic are keen to open talks over a new contract with defender Kristoffer Ajer, according to a report in the Daily Record.
The Norwegian star signed for Celtic as a free agent in 2016. He is now considered ‘untouchable’ by Neil Lennon who says he isn’t for sale at any price.
Celtic were dumped out of the Champions League on Tuesday and Lennon is now keen to tie-down one of his top performers.

AC Milan were keen on signing Ajer earlier in the summer. The Hoops boss is now hopeful of handing his star man an extension.
The 21-year-old is a regular in the Norway team and has nailed down a place at centre-back during his time at Celtic Park.
This news has been met with some disgruntlement from the supporters. They feel the new deal is simply a way of ensuring a bigger transfer fee next summer.
Lennon must ensure that a trophy-laden campaign is on the horizon, especially with Champions League football now off the radar for another season.

Ajer is quite clearly a top player in Scotland and extending his stay at the club would be a welcome piece of good news for supporters – even if it’s for the wrong reasons.
Here is a selection of tweets from Celtic supporters, following news of an extension forthcoming for Ajer:
