Dani Alves has been released by Paris Saint-Germain this month after two years with the French giants, and Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter by urging their club to lure the free agent to Scotland.
The 36-year-old has clocked up 73 appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s side since joining the club from Juventus, proving that age is just a number by shining in the top tier of French football and the Champions League.
Indeed, the 107-time Brazil international has scored eight goals in that time as well as laying on 18 assists. He is still considered one of the best right-backs in European football, despite his age.

His future, though, is less certain. Following his exit from PSG, Alves will be looking for a new home. A return to his home country of Barcelona could be a possibility, as could a move to China or the middle east.
Celtic, meanwhile, are desperate to a right-back after losing Mikael Lustig. Jeremy Toljan has returned to parent club Borussia Dortmund. The Hoops have been linked with George Baldock, Stephen O’Donnell and Timothy Castagne.
But Celtic fans reacted to the news that Alves had been released, and are desperate to see Neil Lennon launch an ambitious bid to lure the free agent to Glasgow this summer and solve the right-back issue.
