Celtic fans tell Stiliyan Petrov to come back for 10 in a row

Celtic fans would love to see the Bulgarian back at Parkhead.

Celtic fans have been reacting to the news that Stilyan Petrov has earned his UEFA Pro License coaching badge with plenty suggesting the Bulgarian should return to Parkhead to begin his coaching journey.

The former Celtic midfielder saw his career cruelly cut short after a battle with leukemia which, thankfully, he won.

Petrov will now be looking to start his coaching career somewhere and plenty of Celtic fans think Paradise is the perfect location.

It is easy to see why. Not only does he have the Celtic background but he is a former team-mate of current Celtic boss Neil Lennon in Glasgow.

The pair are friends and Celtic would be a great place for Petrov to cut his teeth in a comfortable environment at the beginning of this stage in his career.

Celtic have recently had some coaching reshuffles of their own, with Damien Duff’s departure seeing Gavin Strachan appointed by the club.

But the Bhoys also have a good track record for appointing former players to their coaching team. At present, John Kennedy, Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus are all on the Celtic coaching staff, all of whom are also ex-teammates of Petrov.

Bringing in the Bulgarian to have some sort of role at the club would undoubtedly be a shrewd move for Celtic and fans would love to see him play a role in helping deliver 10 in a row.
