Celtic fans tear into Jack Hendry after red card in reserves defeat

Jack Hendry was shown a red card for Celtic’s reserves side on Tuesday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter ripped into him.

The Bhoys reserves suffered a 2-1 defeat against Brentford B in a friendly fixture.

Hendry started the contest for the Scottish club, but he was shown a straight red card in the 66th minute for his challenge.

The 24-year-old defender is someone that has been frozen out of the senior picture by manager Neil Lennon and his luck isn’t proving any better with the youth team.

He’s a centre-back that has made just one first-team appearance this campaign, which was a substitute appearance against Patrick Thistle during a League Cup quarter-final tie in September.

Hendry did play 15 times across all competitions last season for Celtic, but his career is taking a considerable decline and he’s struggled to cut the grade at Parkhead recently.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media have ripped into Hendry following his latest outing for the reserves team and some have suggested that he’s sold at the soonest opportunity.

He surely faces an impossible task to break back into the fold in Celtic’s backline and could do with restarting elsewhere.

Here are some Celtic fans on Hendry:
