Leigh Griffiths has claimed that there is more to come from him and he expects his Celtic form to keep improving.

The centre-forward saw his 2019 disrupted by injuries and personal problems, but he’s been reintegrated to Neil Lennon’s squad and has played an important role this season at Parkhead.

He’s played 31 games across all competitions so far this campaign for the Bhoys and managed 11 goals in return.

The 29-year-old is currently waiting for the season to resume along with most other European leagues following the outbreak of coronavirus and he had started to hit some top form before the forced break.

Griffiths scored a hat-trick in a 5-0 win over St Mirren in Celtic’s last fixture and has also started to form a great combination in attack next to teammate Odsonne Edouard.

The Scottish forward has shown he can play alongside Frenchman Edouard and they are such a feared frontline in domestic football.

“I feel there’s more to come from me. I can still get fitter and sharper so that’s what I’m working on for now,” Griffiths said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media have shown their support to Griffiths and agree that he can still get better.

He’s an experienced attacker that has more than proven he can cause havoc in front of goal in the Scottish leagues and he has 115 goals in 234 appearances for the Bhoys, so having him get back to his very best is extremely encouraging.
