Following Sunday’s emphatic win over Motherwell, it is surely fair to say that few players seem to have enjoyed a bigger turnaround at Celtic in recent times than Tom Rogic amid reports that the Australian was set to leave in the summer.
Neil Lennon needed a big performance from his side this weekend. The Hoops now only boast a small chance of qualifying from their Europa League group following Thursday’s 4-1 defeat.

The one positive to emerge from that result however, is that it may leave the Bhoys with an opportunity to really concentrate on their league form. And, while there is a long way to go, there is no question that they have issued the ideal initial response.

But Rogic was one player who received a lot of plaudits on social media following the win. The 27-year-old was majestic at times, and provided yet another assist.
It was some fantastic work from the playmaker inside the box that led to Elyounoussi’s second goal.
But his all-round performance was outstanding. As shown by Whoscored.com, he made three key passes. He also completed six dribbles. No other player on the pitch managed more than three.
As mentioned, Rogic was reportedly close to leaving Celtic in the summer. The Daily Mail reported in August that he was set for a £4 million move to Qatar.
For whatever reason, that move never materialised. And Celtic supporters are clearly over the moon that he went nowhere.
