Celtic fans react to the performance of James Forrest in 3-0 win at St Johnstone

Celtic maintained their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a comfortable 3-0 victory against St Johnstone last night.

The Bhoys picked up a routine victory in a match which was done shortly after the 25th minute and sent another clear message to Rangers about their intent.

Olivier Ntcham, James Forrest and Leigh Griffths netted the goals for Neil Lennon’s side as the hosts were blown away.

And the Scotland international has had his critics this season but netted the crucial second goal which put his side in absolute command on the night.

There were plenty of Celtic fans on Twitter ready to heap praise on the Scotland international’s performance and hope to see it on a consistent basis.

As per Transfermarkt, Forrest has 15 goals and 18 assists to his name across all competitions and it’s clear he retains plenty of goodwill among the fanbase.

He can be a real driving force as Celtic look to retain the title if he is able to play like he did last night on a regular basis, but his statistical return isn’t too bad so far.
