Celtic recorded a narrow victory in midweek away to St Mirren – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter raved about their defender Shane Duffy for his performance
The Bhoys managed to secure a 2-1 victory against St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership fixture and have moved just three points behind table toppers Rangers, who have played a game more than them.
Neil Lennon’s side found themselves behind early due to a third-minute goal from Lee Erwin, but the Scottish champions turned the game on its head before half-time.
Duffy scored once again for Celtic with a powerful header and kept up his impressive start at Parkhead following his arrival on loan from Brighton.
James Forrest netted the second shortly after with what turned out to be the winner, but teammate Odsonne Edouard did miss a penalty in the second-half.

Despite some being disappointed with the overall levels of the side, a selection of Celtic supporters on social media did find some positivity from the performance of their summer signing.
Duffy, 28, has left the Premier League in search of regular game-time and so far is proving to be a really shrewd piece of business.
The Irish centre-back has now scored in both of his Celtic appearances with headed goals and offers so much in the opposition’s box, but is also a physical presence at the back that could grow into a real leaeder.
