Celtic’s David Turnbull is reportedly a target for Premier League club Aston Villa this summer – and some Bhoys fans on Twitter have responded to the speculation by claiming there is no chance he’ll be leaving Parkhead.
According to the Scottish Sun, English side Villa are eyeing a potential £7million bid for Celtic’s rising talent Turnbull.
It is explained that they’ve been watching the 21-year-old perform this campaign, which has been his debut season with the Hoops following his transfer from Motherwell in August last year.
The report adds that Dean Smith’s Villa believe he could offer real value for money as they go in pursuit of a goalscoring midfielder to add to their squad next year.

Turnbull, 21, has been one of the bright sparks during a disappointing Celtic season.
The attacking midfielder has been directly involved in 17 goals in 35 Celtic appearances so far, nine goals and assists.
He had certain purple patches of form throughout the season where he showed what he’s capable of as a creative playmaker, and it’s clear that the best is yet to come from him as he finds more consistency.
It’s a big sign of his quality that he’s been included in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad at this summer’s European Championship competition before even making his senior international debut.
A selection of Celtic supporters on social media have laughed off the mooted £7million interest in Turnbull from Villa.
It’s clear they feel their midfielder is worth far more.
