Celtic fans react to performance of David Turnbull against St Mirren

Celtic secured a morale-boosting win last night as they closed the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership to 18 points.

After the game, all the talk was about David Turnbull who completed the rout.

Neil Lennon’s team enjoyed a third successive win in the Premiership as they closed the gap on Rangers at the top.

It seems unlikely that Celtic will claim their tenth title in succession but the challenge now is to continue winning matches.

Turnbull’s goal came after strikes from Tom Rogic, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie as St Mirren were put to the sword.

It was the Scotland international who earned the most praise on Twitter afterwards, with plenty of supporters raving about his performance.

Turnbull now has seven goals to his name this season after a slow start to life at Celtic.

The youngster arrived at Celtic Park from Motherwell for a fee of £3 million back in the summer.

He earns £7,500-a-week at Celtic Park and he’s a firm favourite with the club’s supporters.

Here is what the fan base were saying regarding Turnbull’s performance last night.
