Moritz Bauer made his full debut for Celtic in the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock on Sunday. Neil Lennon rotated his troops after the 1-1 draw with Rennes on Thursday night and handed Bauer his first start.

The right-back, on loan from Stoke City, has had to settle for second place behind Hatem Abd Elhamed this season. But Bauer was given his opportunity in the Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock.

Bauer’s only previous Celtic appearance came from the bench in the Old Firm derby. He had a 24-minute run-around, drawing a foul which saw Jordan Jones receive a straight red card late in the game.

In Sunday’s match against Killie, Bauer continued to impress the Celtic fans. The Austrian defender burst up and down the right flank, showcasing his defensive and attacking abilities in front of the Celtic Park crowd.

Bauer’s 79-minute cameo gives Lennon some food for thought. Elhamed has also played well since joining in the summer and there is a real battle on for the starting right-back spot. It is a good dilemma for Lennon to have.

Here are some Celtic fans reacting to Bauer’s performance.
