Celtic fans react to Mikael Lustig’s performance against RB Leipzig

Celtic produced a brilliant Europa League performance to defeat RB Leipzig on Thursday.

The Bhoys toppled the German outfit at Parkead 2-1 thanks to goals from Kieran Tierney and Odsonne Edouard.

The result means they now sit third in Group B but level on points with Leipzig, with two games left to play.

Brendan Rodgers side were inspired in their pursuit of victory, and will now be confident of qualifying after finally hitting their stride this season.

There were brilliant performances all over the pitch from Celtic, with Tierney, Edouard, Ryan Christie and James Forrest some of the standout performers.

It was a great collective effort. However, not all of Celtic’s players were showered with praise after the game.

Lustig the ‘liability’

It wasn’t such a great game for full-back Mikael Lustig, who was at fault for the Leipzig equaliser from Jean-Kevin Augustin.

The Swede had some good moments but also switched off at times.

The 31-year-old, who joined the Hoops in 2012 and has been a great servant to the club, appears to be on the decline these days.

He has made a number of mistakes for Celtic this season, which makes it difficult for people to appreciate the good things he does the rest of the time.

Celtic fans react

During and after the game, some Celtic fans took to Twitter to have their say about Lustig:
