Celtic fans react to Liel Abada display in Dundee United draw
A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Liel Abada after the winger’s display in their draw with Dundee United on Sunday.
What’s the story?
The Hoops now sit six points off top spot in the Scottish Premiership. Ange Postecoglou’s men dropped points after taking the lead through Abada.
The 19-year-old put Celtic in front after 16 minutes. Within two minutes however, the visitors had equalised through Ian Harkes.
It was a concerning performance from Celtic. And a look on social media will show that very few members of Postecoglou’s ranks have come away with any sort of credit from the fans.
However, one player who has been given some praise is Abada. Many are already wondering where they would be without the Israel international, as well as Jota.
Abada has scored six goals and provided four assists in his first 13 appearances for Celtic following his summer switch.
He is proving to be a real shining light in a tough opening weeks for Postecoglou at Parkhead.
Plenty of Celtic fans have taken to social media to insist that Abada was one of the only players who can hold his head up high following Sunday’s result.
Celtic do have players to come back into the fold. But it seems to be becoming abundantly clear just how much work Postecoglou still has to do with his squad.
‘Great today’: Celtic fans laud Abada after frustrating draw
Thankfully, Abada looks to be a player who will always give Celtic a chance of finding a way through when they are not at their best.
With that in mind, here is how some of the Hoops fans reacted to Abada’s display…

Jota, Abada, Rogic and big Carter-Vickers were great today it was the other seven players on that park that has me drinking whiskey straight from the bottle.

Abada still has work to do to improve his all round game, but his ability to be in the right place at the right time is incredible for a 19 years old kid. Top goal scorer for us so far this season.

Injury update. Both Jota and Abada have picked up back injuries after carrying the team today.
