Celtic fans react to Lewis Morgan’s performance from the bench against AIK

Morgan completed the scoring last night in the 4-1 win.

Celtic stormed into the group stages of the Europa League last night with a 4-1 away victory against AIK to give them a thumping 6-1 aggregate victory.

The Bhoys European away record has not been stellar down the years but they took a huge step in the right direction on that front last night.

It was Lewis Morgan who completed the scoring, having replaced Michael Johnston to put the gloss on a strong display from the entire team.

And some Celtic fans were pleased for Morgan, who has had his fair share of critics, while others were worried that the goal would further cement his place in a side they don’t want to see him in.

That seems like quite a harsh stance to take, but with a game against Rangers coming up, the supporters don’t want to see any passengers in the starting eleven.

It’s not often that a goal away from home in a European tie gets a mixed reaction but that’s exactly what happened last night for Morgan.

It remains to be seen whether the strike is enough to get him into the side for the crunch clash this weekend, but it’s fair to say not every fan would be impressed if that was the case.
