Kristoffer Ajer scored his second goal of the season as Celtic romped to victory in the Scottish Premiership. Ajer scored an equaliser to make it 1-1 as Celtic thrashed Motherwell 5-2 at Fir Park on Saturday.
The towering Norwegian was playing out of position due to an injury crisis at the back. Ajer featured at right-back with Christopher Jullien and Nir Bitton playing in central defence.
But the change in position did not faze Ajer, who controlled the game. He made a surging run into the box before coolly slotting past Mark Gillespie in the Motherwell goal. That made it 1-1 just two minutes after Motherwell had taken the lead and it reversed the momentum.

Ajer now has two goals in six games this season after netting against Kalju Nomme in the Champions League. With 86 Celtic appearances to his name already, the 21-year-old has firmly established himself as a fans’ favourite at Celtic Park.
Once again, he impressed with another consistent and dominant display despite his change in position. Here are some of the best tweets discussing Ajer’s performance.
