Celtic kept their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership last night with a routine 3-0 away victory against St Johnstone.

First half goals by Olivier Ntcham, James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths put the game to bed within 26 minutes and Greg Taylor caught the eye of some Bhoys fans on Twitter.

He told the club’s official YouTube channel after the game: “First half especially we were pretty dominant. It could have been four or five. 3-0 away from home, you can’t argue with that.

“I was happy with my performance, I thought I could have had a couple of assists. The gaffer was pleased with us all. I probably couldn’t argue (Neil Lennon said it was his best performance for Celtic) with that and it’s just building on that now. Doing the same Sunday and onto next Wednesday as well.”

Taylor set up Griffiths’ goal and there were plenty of Celtic fans on Twitter impressed with his display and wanting to see him play more often.

The consensus was that his performance was so good that he deserves a run in the side now to try and nail down his spot and on the evidence of last night, it’s hard to disagree.

Celtic put in a commanding team performance last night to send yet another strong message to Rangers and Taylor was arguably the best player on the pitch in that display, so he deserves the praise he got.
