Celtic came away with the bragging rights on derby day at Ibrox yesterday, earning a 2-0 victory over Rangers thanks to goals from Odsonne Edouard and Jonny Hayes.
The two sides went into this crunch clash neck and neck in the league but Neil Lennon’s side were able to make a mockery of defensive absentees with a reasonably comfortable victory.
Edouard has made something of a habit of putting Rangers to the sword – which is a surefire way to endear yourself to the fans – and he did exactly that again yesterday, opening the scoring on 32 minutes.
From there, Celtic were able to keep Rangers at arm’s length for most of the second half, with Edouard showing invention and composure that proved beyond Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe in blue.

It’s fair to say that Edouard’s display went down well with the Bhoys supporters on Twitter, who were more than happy to rise once again and praise the hitman for doing the business on derby day.
They absolutely love him and want him to stick around for as long as possible, as shown by the praise poured on him after a hugely impressive performance as part of a resolute team display.
