Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster, on loan from Southampton, saved a penalty in yesterday’s league win. Kilmarnock were beating Celtic 1-0 but the hosts turned things around and secured a 3-1 victory to stay three points clear at the top.
Neil Lennon’s men retained their perfect start to the season, winning all six of their Scottish Premiership games. Odsonne Edouard bagged a brace and Ryan Christie also scored after Eamonn Brophy gave Killie the lead.
But while Forster was beaten by Brophy’s deflected strike on 33 minutes, he ensured that the end of the game wasn’t too nervous. Late in the game, Kilmarnock received a penalty as Scott Brown committed a foul.

Alan Power stepped up but Forster was equal to it and kept the score at 3-1. The towering Englishman has been a solid presence between the sticks since rejoining the club earlier this season.
Lennon brought Forster back to Glasgow after doubts over Scott Bain and Craig Gordon’s form. Forster is on a season-long loan from Southampton but fans already want him signed up permanently.
