Celtic fans react to Christopher Jullien's solid performance in vital away win at Rangers
Celtic came away from Ibrox with all three points yesterday having secured a 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Rangers on their own patch.
Odsonne Edouard opened the scoring on 32 minutes before Celtic withstood Rangers’ attempts at a recovery with relative ease, allowing Jonny Hayes to top off the win in stoppage time.
It was a makeshift effort in defence for Neil Lennon’s side but new-boy Christopher Jullien formed part of a strong rearguard effort.
He is already making an impression on the Celtic faithful and they took to Twitter to praise his display in his maiden derby clash against the Gers.

Jullien was tasked with anchoring a defence shorn of options but his aggression, discipline and power saw Celtic over the line with plenty still in the tank.
There aren’t many better ways to get in the fans’ good books straight away, and the supporters seem over the moon with the defender already, and his passion for the cause is clear for all to see from his celebrations at full time.
Celtic were happy to invite pressure in that second period but Jullien didn’t ever look exposed – he was always in control – and that was key to Lennon’s side getting a crucial three points at the home of their biggest rivals.
