Celtic cruised to a 6-0 win in their Champions League qualifying first-round tie against Icelandic side KR Reykjavik – and Hoops supporters have responded on Twitter to Albian Ajeti’s cameo role.
The Hoops entered at the first qualifying stage, tasked with beating Reykjavik at Parkhead. It did not take Neil Lennon’s side long before they took the lead and asserted their dominance over their opponents.
A long ball from Christopher Jullien – who impressed throughout – was expertly toed past the Reykjavik goalkeeper by Mo Elyounoussi before tapping into the net after just five minutes. An own goal made it 2-0.

Jullien made it three himself, planting a bullet header into the back of the Reykjavik net and the tie was over before ti had even started. A deep cross from Jeremie Frimpong after the restart found Greg Taylor, who nodded in.
There was time for Odsonne Edouard to wriggle past numerous opposition players before sliding the ball in to make it five, before new signing Ajeti entered the fray after 72 minutes. Elyounoussi made it six.
Celtic supporters have reacted on Twitter to Ajeti’s 18-minute display, and although he failed to find the back of the net – he impressed some of Celtic’s support. Others, though, were not so sure.
