A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Sun over the weekend linking the Hoops with a potential move for Steve Cook.

It appears that Eddie Howe is in the driving seat for the Parkhead post. In fact, The Sun reports that those behind the scenes with the Bhoys believe that they could announce Howe’s appointment in the coming days.

And it is claimed that one of Howe’s key targets would be Cook. According to The Sun, the 29-year-old would struggle to turn down the chance to join Celtic, particularly if Bournemouth fail to get promoted.

The centre-back is not far off making 400 appearances for the club, many of which came while Howe was in charge.

The Sun claims that he is out of contract this summer. If that is indeed the case, he could be available on a free transfer.

Unfortunately for Cook, it is perhaps fair to say that the reaction has been mixed at best. There are definitely some who are big fans of the defender and what he would potentially bring to Celtic.

However, others are not convinced. You can understand why they may be wary. Celtic appeared to produce a masterstroke bringing Shane Duffy in on loan last year. But of course, that move has not gone well.

And that has left some fans fearing that Cook would be another poor signing.

With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the links…
