Celtic left it late to defeat St Johnstone with Leigh Griffiths and Patryk Klimala goals in stoppage time securing a 2-0 win.
The win puts the Hoops back above fierce rivals Rangers, at least until later when they face Ross County.
It was the cameo of Leigh Griffiths which caught the eye and in truth, it was the striker who spared Celtic’s blushes.
His late, late header ensured it wouldn’t be an embarrassing afternoon for the Hoops against the Premiership’s bottom-placed club.
It was a first outing of the campaign for the 30-year-old who has had to wait patiently for a chance this season.
Neil Lennon felt that today was the perfect chance to throw the experienced striker into the fray and his decision was inspired.

The 19-cap Scotland star will now hope to kick on and force his way into the team on a more frequent basis.
Last season he fired 11 goals from 31 appearances and he will fancy his chances of scoring goals if given opportunities.
Following this afternoon’s game, Griffiths was the name on every Celtic supporter’s lips and they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of Tweets from the Celtic fans as Griffiths comes up trumps again.
