Celtic fans react on Twitter to Lucien Favre reports
A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mail claiming that Lucien Favre is interested in taking the Parkhead job.
The Hoops remain on the lookout for Neil Lennon’s permanent successor. A number of names have been in and out of the frame over the last few weeks.
The Daily Mail notes that the likes of Roy Keane, Eddie Howe and Steve Clarke are being considered. But Favre has reportedly added his name to that list.
According to the report, the 63-year-old would be interested in being appointed at Celtic Park. He is currently out of work after leaving Borussia Dortmund last December.
His time at Dortmund ended on a sour note, but he had won plenty of plaudits for the work he has done with them, as well as with the likes of Nice, Borussia Monchengladbach and FC Zurich before that.
And that is why plenty of Celtic fans would clearly be delighted to see Favre appointed in the coming months.
Some think that the Swiss would be the ideal man to take the club forward after a difficult time for the Bhoys.
His teams tend to play an exciting brand of football. And he has a proven track record for helping develop players, particularly youngsters.
With that in mind, here is how some of the Celtic fans have reacted to the links…
If Lucien Favre is genuinely in the frame for the Celtic job that’d be a bit of a coup.

Top manager. Plays fast, attacking football, big on tactics, preparation & organisation with a track record of developing players. Also experience of playing under DoF. A massive step up from the likes of Roy Keane
