Celtic fans react on Twitter to Joe Hart display vs Livingston

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Joe Hart following the goalkeeper’s display in the Hoops’ defeat to Livingston on Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou’s men remain in mid-table in the Scottish Premiership after a surprise loss at the Toni Macaroni Arena.

In truth, Celtic were well short of their best against Livi. And they conceded the decisive goal after 25 minutes with Andrew Shinnie beating Hart.

Hart may have missed out on a clean sheet. But plenty of the Celtic fans on social media felt that he was one of the only players who deserved any sort of praise.


Worryingly, he had made more saves than Max Stryjek at the other end of the pitch until late on (Whoscored).

Admittedly, he did not have a lot to do during the contest. But some of the supporters felt that he may have been the only one not to fall well short of the standards expected in the frustrating loss.

Some appreciated the urgency that he showed. Hart has not had the easiest spell over the last few years at various clubs.

But one aspect of his game that can never be questioned is his passion. He is a leader, as highlighted by the fact that he has already worn the armband since arriving at Parkhead.

It was not a day that will live long in the memory of Celtic supporters. A number of players failed to stake a claim for more game-time with their performances.
