A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Greg Taylor’s performance as the Hoops got back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Neil Lennon’s men went more than a month without a win in any competition before Thursday. But their impressive showing in midweek seemingly prompted the Hoops boss to once again leave out a number of key men.
Taylor was one player brought in for the weekend’s clash with Kilmarnock. Goals from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Shane Duffy secured the Bhoys the three points.
The left-back has come in for plenty of criticism during his time at Parkhead. However, he appears to have impressed a number of supporters on social media following the game.
Taylor showed plenty of intent going forward. And it was noted by many that Celtic look much stronger defensively when they have the former Killie man playing at left-back.
There still seems to be a long way to go before Lennon silences his doubters. And Taylor may perhaps feel that he is in a similar boat, with a small minority continuing to criticise his displays.
Fortunately, the large majority of Celtic fans are more than happy to praise the 23-year-old’s performance against his old club.
Here is what some of the supporters made of his display in Sunday’s win…
Delighted for Greg Taylor yesterday. Not done much wrong this season yet vilified by many as if he was putting in Jack hendry performances every week. How does the assists table look for the full backs this season?

I always think we are better defensively when Greg Taylor plays we defended better when he played at the start of the season and I thought today he had a decent game, the most solid we’ve looked at the back in a long time https://t.co/l7td6Lk7Tj
