A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on David Turnbull’s performance as the Hoops’ resurgence continued with a 3-0 win on Boxing Day.
Neil Lennon’s men have now come out on top in their last five games in all competitions. The Bhoys’ latest win came at Hamilton, with Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths bagging goals before Turnbull completed the scoring.

The midfielder found the back of the net from close range after Edouard had hit the post.
Celtic boast a remarkable record when Turnbull has started for them in the league. The Hoops have won all four games, scoring nine – two of those have come from the former Motherwell man – and conceding none.
He has started all of their last five games. So it is little surprise that many Celtic fans on social media believe that he has been integral to their recent upturn in form.

Several have insisted that he should now be considered one of the first names on the team sheet. And they simply cannot believe that Lennon did not hand him a prominent role much sooner.
Turnbull has been lauded for another outstanding display. And plenty of Celtic fans have suggested that signing him in the summer was a masterstroke – even if Lennon may have taken a little time to realise.
