A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments made by Kristoffer Ajer’s agent in which he suggested that the defender will be leaving the club this summer, as reported by the Daily Record.

Ajer has been a stalwart for the Hoops since breaking into the side during Brendan Rodgers’s tenure. He has made over 130 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The Daily Record reports that he has two years remaining on his contract at Parkhead. However, his agent, Tore Pedersen has insisted that he will be leaving the club during the coming months.

“He will not extend his contract with Celtic and will leave this summer,” he said, as reported by the Record.

“There are several clubs who are interested, but I can’t go into their names. There are many who have followed him for a long period.”

The 21-year-old looks to be a fantastic talent with an incredibly bright future ahead of him. However, Pedersen’s comments have prompted an interesting reaction from the Celtic fans on social media.

Many feel that Neil Lennon’s side have not seen the best of Ajer for a long time. In fact, some have suggested that he has been off the pace since September.

And plenty have insisted that he should get his wish in the summer. They believe that if he is keen to go, then he should be offloaded.

‘Drop Ajer for Sunday’

Some have argued that he should play no part in Sunday’s Old Firm game. And it is suggested that any offers around the £15 million mark should be accepted.

Here is how some of the Celtic fans have reacted to Ajer’s agent’s comments…
