Celtic fans react on Twitter to Callum McGregor’s display
After their midweek disappointment, Celtic needed to produce a big performance in their Scottish Premiership clash with Motherwell on Sunday – and a 3-0 win suggests that they did exactly that.
Neil Lennon’s men got back to winning ways in style, with a particularly impressive second-half performance. And while a number of players impressed, it appears that it was Callum McGregor who attracted the most praise on social media following the victory.

McGregor played a crucial role in Celtic’s opening goal. His excellent run led to James Forrest breaking the deadlock with the Hoops’ first shot on target.
The midfielder was superb throughout the contest. And plenty of fans have suggested that he was one of the players who looked to be back to their best after a lacklustre spell.

He was full of energy and made big contributions at both ends of the pitch. Several have, understandably, claimed that he was the man of the match in the victory.
McGregor has previously established himself as one of the division’s best players.
And, while no-one could dispute his quality, there was no question that he looked considerably better than he has for a little while.
If Celtic are going to get back on track, they will need their big players to step up in the coming weeks. Based on his latest performance, McGregor looks more than ready for the challenge.
Here is how some of the fans reacted to McGregor’s display against Well…

Night and day with forwards on the park. Great Ajeti keeps scoring and I like Klimala. Frimpong needs a place. Taylor is a squad player. Brown is a legend but we need to use him properly. McGregor back to his best last 30 mins.
